Top ten (week 9)

I'll list my favorite Manga books(minus some inappropriate ones....) and even though I myself have read thousands of manga books, these are ones that have stood out to me.. (Or at least some of them, I had to leave out a lot...)

1) 7-seeds; Scientists froze 5 groups of survivors to restore the human race after a meteorite hits the earth and kills everyone living on it. They programmed computers to determine when Earth was once again suitable for human life and unfroze them. These survivors struggle to keep alive, and find each other.. (Man, this is by far my favorite manga. The art isn't that great, but the story kills-- It made me cry all the time. It has like 24 volumes right now.)

2) Oresama teacher; Kurosaki Mafuyu was a juvenile delinquent and head of her gang before her subsequent arrest got her expelled from high school. She transfered schools with the determination to become an "ultra-shiny, super feminine high school student" (This manga is freaking hilarious. The characters are legit)

3) The Breaker: New waves ; Continuation of the previous serious "The Breaker," main character Shioon works to fix his shattered ki-center. He suddenly becomes the Sunwoo clans Gaju(clan leader). (This manga is SO bada$$, theres amazing fighting scenes and the main character is freaking awesome.)

4) 1/2 Prince; It is the year 2100 A.D, and humans have developed a virtual reality game with a realism of 99%. Feng Lan, due to a bet with her twin brother, vows to succeed in playing the game without using her "female benefits." Due to this, she becomes the first and only female to play as a male character in "Second Life." (This manga is so cool, the character development is really interesting and I'm really sad the series is literally almost over..)

5) The world god only knows; Katsuragi Keima after unknowingly signing a contract from hell, Elsee, a devil from Hell who has heard of his legendary girl-capturing skills, comes into Keima's world and tells him about the contract he had made with hell, which is to capture loose souls who escape to earth... (It's pretty funny, and the story is really good. I love the art, and characters.)

6) Beelzebub; The story follows the "strongest juvenile delinquint" as he watches over the demon king's son with the destruction of the world hanging in the balance. (OH MAN, THIS MANGA IS HILARIOUS. Their's so much sarcasm it's amazing.. )

7) Horimiya; Hori seems like a normal teenage girl, but at home she acts as a parent for her younger brother since her parents are always at work-- she meets Miyamura who she assumes was a shy bookish otaku, but outside of school Miyamura is a friendly guy with many piercings and is not good at academics.. (They are so cute, this manga is so cute, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER THOUGH.)

8) Otomen; Asuka is a guy who has a liking for girly things like shoujo manga, baking, and sewing. However his mother forbids him being so and wants him to grow up manly. He starts learning kendo and karate and grows up to be a stoic guy, but after falling in love he struggles to hide his true identity. (No he's not gay; This manga is so good, I love the characters in it.)

9) Samurai high school; In a modern country where the government is controlled by a Martial Shogun and samurai receive much respect there lives identical twins. Kou, the brother, is very feminine, excels at cooking, cleaning, arts and crafts. Tsukiko, the sister, is masculine, loves fighting and is a combat genius. The twins learn about Samurai High School, where men test their strength and women test their femininity, but the only way they can attend is by swapping places. If they are to be found cheating, they will be executed so they have to overcome their gender differences and maintain their secret. (Oh man, this manga is sO GOOD-- the story and art are both awesome!)

10) Love so Life ; Shiharu is a high school student who loves kids, lives in an orphanage, and works at a daycare... Until the handsome uncle of two-year-old twins offers her a raise if she'll be their babysitter. Often relying on memories of her mothers actions for guidance, Shiharu quickly finds herself falling in love with her new makeshift family. (The manga is so cute, and the story is great!)
